Who we are

What the app does

When you comment on one of our Instagram posts using a keyword we have set up - the name of a product, for example - we send you one direct message with the link to that product. That is all it does. It does not post, follow, like, or read anything beyond the comments on our own posts.

What we receive from Instagram

• The comment's ID, the ID of the post it is on, and when it was posted.
• The text of the comment.
• Your Instagram user ID and username.
• Nothing else: no profile details, no follower list, no other posts or messages.

What we do with it

• Match the comment text against our keyword list. If nothing matches, the comment is recorded as no match and no message is sent.
• If a keyword matches, send you one direct message containing the link. Instagram permits exactly one such reply per comment, within seven days of the comment.
• Keep a record that a reply was sent, so the same comment can never receive two messages if Instagram delivers it to us twice.
• We do not use your comment or username for advertising, do not build a profile from it, do not combine it with other data about you, and do not share or sell it.

How long we keep it

Comment records are deleted 90 days after the comment was received. The deletion runs automatically. After that we hold only a count of how many replies each keyword has sent, which contains nothing about you.

Who else sees it

• Meta Platforms, whose Instagram API delivers your comment to us and carries our reply back to you. Meta's own handling of your data is governed by Meta's privacy policy.
• Nobody else. The records are held on our own web server and are not passed to any other company.

Your choices

• Deleting your comment on Instagram ends any further processing of it by us.
• You can ask us to delete our record of your comment sooner than 90 days. See the data deletion page for how, and we will do it within 30 days.
• You can ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.

Legal basis

We process your comment because you asked for something by posting it - the reply is the thing you requested. Indian law applies, and the courts at Erode, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction.
